Church Life

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of St Margaret’s Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. St Margaret’s members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as serving teas and coffees after services, to preparing meals for those in need.

Mission Outreach

St Margaret’s is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. In addition to links with a number of Missions (see under Missions tab above) we have personal links with people serving overseas, especially in Africa. We have sent people from our Missions group out to visit to encourage them in their work. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for labourers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Music & Drama

God-honouring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of St Margaret’s Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Media & Technology

Every week volunteers (on a rota basis) run our Sound desk and use easyworship church presentation software to help in running our services. Sermons are recorded each week and uploaded to our website in audio formats.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. St Margaret’s Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each week, a group meet on Saturday mornings to pray for the life of the church. We encourage all of the church family to use the monthly prayer diary to pray for people and events. Prayer forms an integral part of each homegroup and once a month we come together for a special time of prayer and intercession at PowerPoint.
